Academic Programs
Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA)
The Professional Masters of Business Administration (PMBA) program is designed for working professionals with a minimum of two years of significant work experience. The key to PMBA is flexibility, enabling students to successfully balance work, graduate school and personal life. Students generally complete the PMBA program in two years, but they can complete the program in as few as 15 months or as many as four years. Classes meet on weekday evenings from 6:15 PM to 9:00 PM, generally two nights per week. A one-week international residency is also required.
Accelerated Master of Business Administration (AMBA)
The Accelerated Masters of Business Administration (AMBA) program is designed for new and recent college graduates with little to no professional experience. The program is competitive, stimulating and puts emerging professionals on the fast track to success. AMBA students typically enter the program immediately after completing an undergraduate degree. The Accelerated MBA program begins in the fall semester with a cohort group of students who complete the program the following summer, for 12 months total. Students attend classes four nights per week from 6:15 PM to 9:00 PM and complete a professional internship during the spring semester. A two-week international residency is also required.
Healthcare Master of Business Administration (HCMBA)
The Healthcare MBA was created "by healthcare professionals for healthcare professionals." The part-time, evening format allows students to be admitted year-round and begin studies in the fall semester. The 34 credit-hour HCMBA offers classes that average two evenings per week, for 40 weeks out of the year, over the course of two years. Massey's HCMBA also includes an 8 to 10 day international residency.
Master of Accountancy (MAcc)
The Master of Accountancy program prepares students to sit for the CPA exam and pursue careers in public or private accounting. The majority of MAcc courses are taken in the accounting department and elective classes are selected from the Massey School's MBA course offerings. Classes are held on weeknights and the program can be completed on a full or part-time basis, in as little as one or as long as three years. We offer flexible schedules to accommodate students' professional and personal commitments, with most accounting courses offered every year and some offered each semester. In addition, all MAcc students complete an international residency that focuses on international accounting and business practices.

Faculty
The Massey School is unique because we consider both faculty members' academic pedigree and professional experience. Because the majority of our students are working professionals, it is vital that our faculty members have extensive industry experience to share with students. Our faculty have prepared academically at top Ph.D. programs, in addition to the professional backgrounds they bring to their classrooms.

Faculty Information
Students Say
Working professionals want to learn skills they can apply in the workplace, and Belmont caters to that goal. Here, “the classes are focused on real world topics” and “the learning style is hands-on.” In the classroom, “the program is largely case-based, encouraging students to use critical thinking skills and sharpen interpersonal skills,” and across disciplines, “the professors encourage classroom discussion.” The faculty further promotes Belmont’s practical perspective by bringing their extensive business experience to the classroom. Like the students, most Belmont professors were “working professionals and therefore experts in the field they are teaching.” At this friendly school, faculty members “give great practical advice” and are “truly interested in helping students learn and grow.”
At Belmont, classes are uniformly small, with about twenty students in the average classroom. Students love the mix of big-name resources and intimate atmosphere, saying “Belmont has the feel of a small school with the professors and reputation of a top university.” A student adds, “It is big enough to offer amenities and benefits of a large school, but small enough to still be a tight-knit group.” On this community-oriented campus, “fellow students, the professors, and the school staff seem to sincerely care about me and each other.”

Students Say
Belmont MBA candidates are predominantly working professionals, and many aren’t looking for a new position after graduation (rather, they are hoping to assume new responsibilities at their existing organization with the help of an MBA). However, should they someday be looking to make a change, Massey graduates can count on lifelong loyalty: All alumni have access to services offered through the Center for Career Development including a job posting site, career counseling, and various online tools.
