Fordham University’s New York City locations is a fertile stomping ground for MBA students at the Gabelli School of Business, which provides “a broad, practical Jesuit education” and “a strong and flexible program for students who work.” The Full-Time MBA curriculum follows the traditional first year of fundamentals and second year of electives structure, and seven concentration options and five “designation” options allow students to specialize their studies. Additionally, students can explore the New York City via a capstone Business Consulting Project or Immersion Week (taking place every January), when they spend five days visiting twelve different local companies across a variety of industries, including JPMorgan Chase, the Fire Department, Disney, and Tiffany & Co.

The Gabelli School “has a collection of incredible professors from many different backgrounds,” who touch on current happenings and integrate into the class material and “have gone above and beyond to help us with any questions or concerns.” There are also many “highly experienced adjunct professors who bring a wealth of knowledge to courses” and the more specialized courses they teach are “absolutely fantastic.” Though there are mixed reviews regarding the administration (“Lots of improvements to be made, but they are trying”), most students say that is “fantastic in communication with students and helping students graduate.” “Fordham has many great resources, you have to do the work to find them and make them work for you” says a student.
