Located only 17 kilometers from the center of Paris, a major economic epicenter in Europe, HEC Paris MBA is situated in the Paris-Saclay Innovation Cluster. Designed to unite France's best research institutions, hi-tech businesses, startups and universities, the cluster enables our students to draw upon the expertise of other participants and team up with scientists to bring their technological inventions to market. Proximity to Paris allows students to easily find an internship in the city and spend part of their 16 months living there--Many people choose to spend the first 8 months on campus and the second 8 months in Paris while working on their field work projects and specializations.
Facilities
The HEC Paris MBA campus includes several eateries, a gym, sports facilities, a library, a language lab, forested running trails and a lake. Most of our MBA students live on campus in a dedicated residence with equipped individual rooms and apartments reserved for couples and families. The residence includes meeting rooms, a relaxation lounge, the Piano Bar, a laundromat and a reserved parking area.
Students take part in over 40+ social and professional clubs such as the Technology Club, LGBT Club, Luxury Club, French Connection Club, Wine & Spirits Club and Consulting Club. Fun, on-campus events, such as cultural weeks immerse students in the cultures, traditions and cuisines of their international classmates.

The HEC Paris MBA, a 16-month program, gives students the ideal amount of time to digest new information and build their CV through internships and specialized courses without keeping them out of the workforce for too long. The size of our cohort--limited to 250 students--guarantees a personalized learning experience that prioritizes our students and their goals.
Academic Programs
The HEC Paris MBA is divided into two complementary counterparts: the Fundamental Phase and the Customized Phase. The Fundamental Phase uses a rigorous combination of academic training and hands-on learning to teach core management skills. After eight months, students have developed the exact skills needed to transform business performance.
With the Customized Phase, students hone their abilities in a specific sector and gain the experience that makes their CV stand out. Students choose a specialization, and spend eight months developing their expertise through a range of electives, double-degree options, international-exchange programs and real-world work experiences. Specializations include Entrepreneurship, Finance, Advanced Management, Marketing and Strategy.
At the HEC Paris MBA, participants are immersed in a hands-on, learning-by-doing, entrepreneurial environment. Our on-campus eLab, an exclusive laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art interactive technologies, is designed to stimulate creativity and communication. In addition, we have joined Station F, the world's largest startup campus, located in Paris, giving our students unprecedented access to top international players in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
At the HEC Paris MBA, students experience an entirely different approach to leadership. We believe that you must know yourself and your strength to truly lead. With a reputation in Europe that is “second to none,” HEC Paris (located just outside the city) boasts a “stellar” faculty, a world class reputation, a double degree option, and a significant presence in niche areas such as Luxury and Sustainable Business that is not commonly found in other MBA programs. Following a curriculum overhaul, a truly “global and well-rounded view” of business is presented with a strong emphasis on case studies and group work.
The full-time HEC MBA lasts for twelve or sixteen months and is divided into two phases. During the Fundamental Phase, students gain a solid foundation in the core business subjects; in the customized phase, students choose to complete either a specialization or an international exchange (based upon their personal career objectives), and either a fieldwork project or “a wide range” of electives. HEC also offers other degrees and programs, and “the entire campus is well integrated,” with an interconnection between Masters, MBAs, and Grande École students via the sharing of “a lot of activities” such as sports, clubs, and parties.
The MBA administration team is drawn from various nationalities and “reflects the school’s international character”; it is “unlike usual French administrations” in that it is “quick, effective and listens to demands promptly.” The school helps students in making visa and other travel arrangements, and “class representatives meet the administration on a regular basis.” The dean’s office is also “wide open,” with specific time slots made available for students.

A company has an economic responsibility: it must earn a fair return for its stockholders. However, corporate social responsibility means that organizations have also ethical and societal responsibilities that go beyond its economic responsibilities. CSR requires organizations to enlarge their understandings of their responsibilities to include other stakeholders like employees, customers, suppliers, local communities, state governments, international organizations, etc. Ethics could be seen as a crucial component of individual and group behaviors at the heart of organizations responsibilities.
This course considers the ethical responsibilities of managers and corporations. We consider individual and organizational business actions and decisions in the light of moral principles and values. We intend to raise difficult ethical challenges and to provide frameworks that inform about common patterns of success and failure in managing ethics and corporate responsibilities. We address the multi-level (individual, team, organizational level) and multicultural context of ethical behavior and responsibility. Finally we question the discourse about ethical values in business and market activity, and analyze the potential changes to business caused by the consideration of ethic's central role.

The administration has “excellent outreach” to the “vast alumni network” (more than 50,000 graduates worldwide), calling upon them to meet with current students and act as guest speakers and ambassadors for the school. Companies come “from all over” to recruit at HEC, and the school has “one of the most widespread and global networks available.” “I have contacted lots of alumni with an 80 percent plus response rate and willingness to help,” says a student. Soft skills are highly stressed here, and “professors are very talented at ingraining the skills into the pupils,” and there are also career man- agement activities every Friday, which include presentation skills, mock interviews, and CV writing sessions.A large number of students go on to work outside of France; many students are “multi-lingual, not just bi-lingual,” but English is the only language required to attend HEC, as students say that “with intermediate French you can work almost everywhere.” “You need French just to joke around with colleagues. Business is all English,” says one. Our 90 percent international student body enriches the overall experience of the program, helping students to shape their view points, and prepares them to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.

This is a “very serious and career oriented” group, but the overall climate is “very friendly” and “the level of respect is very high among the participants in the program.” Program participants are divided into “intakes” (read: season of admission), and with fifty countries represented at the school, the student body is “very diverse in experience and ethnicity.” “The term minority doesn’t apply at this school since students from every country/region are a minority.” “It is really amazing how much we learn from other students by the simple fact the work teams are made, on purpose, of people whose background have nothing to do with each other ’s,” says another.
The campus is located near the foothills of Jouy-en-Josas and has “a very large green area, a lake and plenty of [open space].” Coupled with “good and affordable” family housing, the school is a “great place to raise kids in a quiet and healthy environment.” “Overall the quality of life here is outstanding if you enjoy living in a ‘student bubble’ type environment,” says a student. Perhaps this accounts for the “great social life” between students, many of whom take weekend trips to other European destinations.
