Rollins College - Crummer Graduate School of Business

The Rollins MBA reputation is strong within Florida (particularly nearby Orlando), and the Career Resource Center understands that their students’ reasons for attending Crummer and their job aspirations are different across its three programs. All Early Advantage students are required to complete a one-on-one career strategy session, mock interview, and an MBA-level internship. Career aid given to Professional and Executive MBA students tends to be more toward job strategy development, networking, and assessment. Both Early Advantage and Professional MBA students may participate in Rollins MBA Global Consulting projects (which include a one-week trip abroad to con- duct field research). Crummer “offers a wide variety of things for students to do that involved every aspect of business—from finance to consulting to entrepreneurship,” and “really help[s] you learn more about what you are interested in through firsthand experi- ence.” Top employers of Rollins grads include The Walt Disney Co., SAP, Siemens Energy, Fidelity Investments, and CNL Financial Group, Inc.

The “beautiful campus” is situated in the historic city of Winter Park in sunny Florida, knocking a level of stress off of life immediately. As ages of students range from mid-twenties to early forties, “this brings many different perspectives” and there is an “even mix of competitive students and ‘average’ students” who “can all communicate openly.” Cohorts tend to be tight-knit, and, as each program is team-centric and presen- tation-based, students continue with the same team throughout their entire tenure at the school and “form a family-like bond.”

Many of the Executive MBA students are only present on Saturdays, while the other two programs tend to spend more time with classmates in both work and social environments when projects allow. “The quality of life and balance between my work and personal life is fantastic,” says one student of the workload. “It’s very comparable to anine to five workload, which is good preparation for the business world.” There are “so many clubs that you want to be a part of, there just aren’t enough hours in the day.”
