Academic Programs
A core part of Cabrini University's mission is to provide an excellent academic experience that will help students grow as individuals and as leaders. This experience starts with Cabrini's award-winning First Year Experience Program, which helps students transition to college and creates a supportive community where they can learn who they are and how they can succeed.
In the first year, students have the opportunity to live and/or study with classmates who share a common interest through Learning Communities and can begin to build strong connections with their faculty. Through the Engagements with the Common Good courses, students explore societal issues and consider possible solutions to inequity around the world. If students need additional support, Cabrini's Center for Student Success offers free peer tutoring, writing and math support, academic advising guidance, and counseling services.
Our Honors Program is dedicated to honing students' critical-thinking skills, developing creative and imaginative impulses, and pushing them to expand their intellectual horizons. The program strives to model lifelong learning, giving students the tools they need to succeed inside and outside the academic setting.
As early as the second semester of a student's first year, he or she has the opportunity to study abroad in semester, summer, or year-long programs or to enroll in one of the short-term study abroad courses offered each spring semester. Students have studied science in Switzerland, the Spanish language and culture in Madrid, the European Union in Amsterdam, and theater in London.
Majors and Degrees Offered
Cabrini offers more than 35 undergraduate programs, including biology, criminology, communication, education (with teacher certification), English, finance, health science, psychology, and social work; and 10 pre-professional programs, including pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy, pre-law, and pre-physician assistant studies. Students also can create their own major, minor, or concentration.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree, students can continue their academic careers at Cabrini by pursuing graduate work in one of our six master's programs and our two doctoral programs.
