Georgian Court University welcomes applications from qualified students of all faiths and backgrounds who desire a liberal arts education. The University strives to enroll students who can benefit most from its academic program. In 2017, 43% of GCU's student population were first-generation college students. Entrance is based on individual merit. The high school record of achievement is of primary importance and must reflect solid performance. The majority of students at Georgian Court ranked in the upper half of their senior high school class. Transfer students are accepted into the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes for fall and spring semesters. All transfer applicants must be in good standing at their previous college. Applicants with fewer than 24 credits must fulfill all requirements for admission to the freshman class. Further consideration is given to the applicant's extracurricular activities and the letters of recommendation submitted by teachers, counselors, employers, or similarly qualified people.
Applicants must submit their completed application (online via the Common Application or print and complete a paper application), a $40 application fee, their official high school transcript, SAT (GCU code: 2274) or ACT (GCU code: 2562) scores, two letters of recommendation, and an optional essay. Georgian Court has rolling admissions for first-year students, so applications can be accepted throughout the year.
A campus interview is encouraged but not necessary. A guided tour of the campus is available at the interview.

The Academic Development & Support Center (ADSC) offers tutoring and other academic support services so students can get the most out of their education. Disabilities Services, Peer Tutoring, and a fee-based support program for students with learning differences are also available.
Georgian Court University's Honors Program allows students to pursue academic honors and collaborate with faculty members in a variety of special courses. Honors students can benefit from courses that emphasize primary texts and sources, rigorous scholarly writing assignments and oral presentations, belonging to a committed community of scholars, preference in academic advisement and course registration, assistance with funding to present at regional and national conferences, and special advising regarding graduate and professional school applications and prestigious fellowship opportunities.
The Office of Career Services, Corporate Engagement and Continuing Education helps bridge the gap from being a student to becoming a professional and progressing through a career. The office has a wide array of tools and resources to help students find jobs and internships, identify and market their skill set, network, compile a resume, and prepare for interviews. These life-long, free services are available to both students and alumni.

Tuition, Room, Board and Fees
For the 2017-18 academic year, tuition was $15,400 per semester for full-time students (12-18 credits); full-time nursing program tuition was $16,489; part-time (11 credits or less) was $704 per credit; nursing part time was $776 per credit; room and board with 7-day meal plan was $5,404 per semester, with a $1,293 single room supplement; comprehensive full-time fee was $730; comprehensive part-time fee was $365; full year parking fee was $193 (plus $13.27 New Jersey sales tax). A deposit of $250 is required for resident and commuter students. This is applied to the semester bill and is nonrefundable. *All tuition charges are for full time and based on full-time attendance.

During 2017-18, GCU's diverse student body was made up of 25 students from 19 international countries, with over 2,200 coming from New Jersey, while students from 19 other states represented the out-of-state population. Over 40 percent of GCU's full-time undergraduates were first-generation college students; and, over 52 percent were full-time Pell recipients.
Georgian Court University is a proud member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II. We also belong to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Division II reflects our own philosophy. It's an ideal balance between athletic excellence and academic achievement. GCU student-athletes maintain an above-average GPA, participate regularly in community service projects, and make their mark on college athletics. Many qualify for athletic scholarships.
The Student Government Association (SGA) of Georgian Court University is the official representative voice of the GCU student body. The SGA advocates on behalf of the students' interests and concerns. Through representation on University committees and other special meetings, the Student Government Association continues to play a vital role in fostering community and providing a direct link between students, faculty, and administration. The University also boasts several programs to help engage and develop students' leadership abilities, as well as a plethora of other clubs and organizations catering to a broad range of interests and lifestyles.

With over 2,300 students of diverse faiths and backgrounds and a 13:1 student/teacher ratio, Georgian Court University also offers seven lush garden spaces, including a Japanese Garden, a marble pool, a bowling alley, four residence halls and GCU is the only American University with a court tennis court.
Georgian Court University cares about its students and the environment. 1,639 solar panels help heat and cool Jeffries Hall; and, there are low-mow natural zones and recycling initiatives throughout campus.
Campus Facilities & Equipment
GCU's 67,000-square-foot Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art centerpiece on a campus fully equipped for physical fitness, athletic excellence, and environmental awareness. The LEED-gold certified center features recycled materials, water and energy-saving design, and an Earth-friendly roof. The Wellness Center Complex features:
A 1,200-seat arena, five athletics fields (including new synthetic turf), a six-court outdoor tennis center, and an abundance of training space for GCU's conference-winning NCAA Division II student-athletes; An advanced exercise science lab and two professional dance studios; A state-of-the-art fitness center; and a rich, diverse range of fitness and wellness programs.
Jeffries Hall is Georgian Court's largest academic building, providing classrooms, seminar rooms, offices, art studios, and computer labs. The state-of-the-art Audrey Birish George Science Center offers the latest laboratory and instruction space for scientific study.
Other campus buildings include the Sister Mary Joseph Cunningham Library, the Raymond Hall Complex, which houses the School of Education, the Raymond Hall Computer Center, and the GCU Dining Hall. The School of Business and the Department of Psychology reside in Farley Center, which includes a computer lab, student lounge, and an International Collaboration Center.

Georgian Court University is conveniently located one hour from the Big Apple (New York City) and historic Philadelphia, and only 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches at the Jersey Shore.
