Transportation

Types of Transportation Available to Campus
Bradley International Airport near Hartford, CT is 45 miles from campus. Peter Pan buses (413-253-1350), Valley Transporter limousines (800-872-8752), rental cars, and taxis are available for the trip from the airport to campus. Amtrak trains provide regular service from New York City to Springfield, MA. Greyhound buses serve Springfield hourly from Boston and New York. Buses also run hourly from Springfield to Amherst. The free Five College Bus Service is available for the trip from Amherst to Hampshire's campus, or call City Transportation (413-247-9000) for a taxi.

Driving Instructions to Campus
From the south, take I-91 to Exit 19 (Northampton). Take Rte. 9 E. for 7 miles. In the town of Amherst, turn right onto Rte. 116 S. and proceed 3 miles to the campus. From the east or west, take I-90 (Massachusetts Tpke.) to Exit 4. Take I-91 N. to Exit 19 (Northampton). Take Rte. 9 E. for 7 miles to Amherst; then turn right onto Rte. 116 S. for 3 miles to campus. From the north, take I-91 S. to Exit 25 (Amherst). Take Rte. 116 S. to campus.
