Types of Transportation Available to Campus
Metro- Marymount provides free shuttle service to and from the Ballston Metro stop located on the Orange line of the Washington metro transit system.
Air- The Washington DC metropolitan area is served by Ronald Reagan National Airport(30 minutes from MU), Dulles International Airport (45 minutes from MU) and Baltimore-Washington International Airport (90 minutes from MU)
Train- All interstate trains use Union Station located on Massachusetts Avenue and North Capital Sts. in Washington, DC. Union Station is easily accessible by Metro (Red Line).
Driving Instructions to Campus
From north of Washington, D.C.: Take Interstate Route 95-South to 495-West. Continue past Maryland exits for 20 minutes to Virginia. Take Exit 43 (George Washington Parkway-South) to Route 123-North (second Route 123 exit-Chain Bridge Road). Follow to traffic light at end of road. Turn right onto Glebe Road (Route 120-South) and follow for 2.5 miles. Marymount's Main Campus is on the left. For the Ballston Campus, continue south for 2 miles on Glebe Road to Fairfax Drive. The Ballston Campus is on the right.
From south of Washington, D.C.: Take Interstate Route 95-North, which become 395 inside the Beltway. Exit Glebe Road (Route 120-North), marked "Marymount University." Continue on Glebe Road for 4 miles. The Ballston Campus is on the left. For the Main Campus, continue north for 2 miles on Glebe Road. The Main Campus is on the right.
From DC via I-66: Exit Glebe Road (Rt. 120); turn left at traffic light. Drive approximately 1 mile. Marymount is on the right.
From the west via I-66: Exit Glebe Road/Fairfax Drive. Turn left into Ballston Campus parking lot immediately after light.
