From the School

Nazareth provides a comprehensive education with a proactive approach to career and life readiness. Nazareth's Center for Life's Work pairs students with a personal career coach to guide experience-based learning and build skills, confidence, and career-launching connections. Nazareth students demonstrate readiness for academic rigor and eagerness to make their mark in the world. Admission is based primarily on academic achievement. The College seeks students with a high level of competency and recommends applicants complete a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum in high school that includes English, a foreign language, math, science, and social studies. Successful completion of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses are looked upon favorably. An audition or portfolio review is required for applications to art, dance, music, and theatre programs. Co-curricular activities, the essay, and letters of recommendation are also considered. A campus visit is highly recommended. Information sessions and campus tours are available Mondays through Saturdays.

Transportation

Types of Transportation Available to Campus
Rochester International Airport is 10 miles from Nazareth College. The Syracuse Hancock International Airport is approximately an hour and a half from campus with the Buffalo Niagara International Airport about an hour from campus. Students and families also have access to Amtrak train station ,as well as, NYS Trailways and Greyhound Bus terminals, all located next to the Train station. Services from rental car companies, taxi's and limousine companies are available at any of these stations or terminals.
Driving Instructions to Campus
From Rochester International Airport Leaving the airport, make a right hand turn onto Brooks Avenue. From Brooks Avenue, turn right onto the Interstate 390 South entrance. Where 390 splits, stay to the left and follow Interstate 590 North. Exit at Route 31 East (Monroe Avenue). Follow Route 31 to the Village of Pittsford (about 3 miles). Turn left at the village's Four Corners onto NY 96 North (East Avenue). Nazareth is about 1/2 mile down Route 96 on your left. From the West Take the New York State Thruway to exit 46. Take Interstate 390 North to Interstate 590 North. Exit at Route 31 East (Monroe Avenue). Follow Route 31 to the Village of Pittsford. Turn left at the village's Four Corners onto NY 96 North (East Avenue). Nazareth is about 1/2 mile down Route 96 on your left. From the East Take the New York State Thruway to exit 45. Take Interstate 490 West to NY 31 West (Pittsford-Palmyra Road). Follow Route 31 for about a mile and a half to the Village of Pittsford. Turn right at the village's Four Corners onto NY 96 North (East Avenue). Nazareth is about 1/2 mile down Route 96 on your left. From the North Take Interstate 590 South. From Interstate 590 South, take Interstate 490 East to Exit 25 (Fairport Road). Turn left, heading West on Fairport Road. At the second light, turn left on NY 96 South (East Avenue). Nazareth is about a mile down Route 96 on your right. Turn right at the North Campus Entrance. (Entrance without a traffic light). From the South Take Interstate 390 North to Interstate 590 North. Exit at Route 31 East (Monroe Avenue). Follow Route 31 to the Village of Pittsford. Turn left at the village's Four Corners onto NY 96 North (East Avenue). Nazareth is about 1/2 mile down Route 96 on your left. From Downtown Rochester Take Interstate 490 East to exit 25 (Fairport Road). Turn left, heading west on Fairport Road. At the second light, turn left onto Route 96/East Avenue. Nazareth is about a mile down Route 96/East Avenue on your right.
Local Accommodations
There are over 10 different lodging options, all within 10 miles of campus. The Hampton Inn-(Victor and Rochester locations), Residence Inn by Marriott, The Lodge at Woodcliff, Holiday Inn-Henrietta South, and the Microtel Inn-Victor are all within 6 miles of campus. The Delmonte Lodge is approximately a quarter of a mile away from campus, located minutes from the Erie Canal.
