Notre Dame College offers stimulating academics, personalized attention, small class sizes, NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics and vibrant student life.
Founded in 1922 by the Sisters of Notre Dame, the College has grown strategically to keep pace with the rapidly changing needs of students and the dramatic changes in higher education. But it has never lost sight of its emphasis on teaching students not only how to make a good living but also how to live a good life.
Notre Dame College has rapidly become one of the finest small, Catholic, residential, liberal arts colleges in the Great Lakes region. Founded as an all-women’s school, the College became coeducational in 2001. Since 2003, total enrollment has since grown from 875 to 2,029.
A snapshot of the fall 2014 traditional NDC student population shows: 44% female, 56% male; 55% Catholic; 31% minority; 55% student-athletes; and 53% live on campus. The mosaic of NDC students represents 40 states and 23 foreign countries.
Notre Dame offers high quality academic programs in over 30 disciplines with majors housed in five academic divisions: arts and humanities, business, education, nursing and science and math.
