The 2014–15, full-time tuition (12 to 18 credits per semester) was $10,420. Students taking 12-18 credits or fewer paid $700 per credit. The semester fee, which covers the cost of orientation courses, Internet and computer usage, and student-support services, activities, and leadership programs, was $200.

For the 2014-15 academic year, rooms in Vaughn's four-year-old residence hall cost $4,982 for a double room and $5,712 for a single room, per semester. A $250 housing deposit is required. Residents live in either a two-person or a four-person suite with a semi-Private bath. The residence hall has laundry, study, and kitchen facilities in a common area within the building. Residence hall rooms are supplied with a bed, dresser, closet, desk, chair, and wastebasket for each student. Each room is also equipped with phone and cable TV hookup and computer port.

Vaughn College offers federal, state, and institutional funds to help students pay for their education. Ninety percent of students are eligible for some type of financial aid. The first step is to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and, if appropriate, the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application. Applications for the fall semester should be filed by March 1. The College recognizes academic excellence by awarding scholarships to high-achieving students pursuing Bachelor of Science degree programs. Applicants must file the FAFSA to be eligible.

Awards for new students include Founders' Scholarships, which are merit-based and range from $500 to $15,000 per year, and the need-based Vaughn College financial grants, which range from $250 to $2,200.

Financial aid is determined by a variety of factors, including income, assets, family size and other family information. Each applicant has unique circumstances and the financial aid office is committed to helping students and their parents through the process. It is strongly recommended that students file for financial assistance as early in the year prior to enrollment as possible.

Financial aid eligibility requires that the student maintain satisfactory academic progress and program pursuit after enrolling.

Located in New York City, the College offers numerous internship opportunities with an array of technology, manufacturing, and aviation companies. The cultural, spiritual, and physical needs of the students are met by the outstanding facilities of New York City. Restaurants are easily accessible, and hospitals and other medical facilities are among the best in the world. New York City's legendary museums focus on arts, natural history, science, and world civilization.

Each laboratory provides the work/study environment suited to the requirements of each program. This practical, hands-on experience helps qualify students for immediate employment upon graduation. From the new mechatronics laboratory to the CATIA/NASTRAN computer center, the College is committed to providing students with the knowledge and tools they are likely to find in today's businesses. The College's $1-million flight simulator center features Frasca 142 and 241 simulators, a Canadair regional jet trainer, and two Redbird simulators. The addition of a new air traffic control laboratory with radar and tower components complements the $1 million flight simulator laboratory to support students in their pursuit of a career in flight or air traffic control. Our partnership with Heritage Flight Academy enables students to pursue Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) flight certifications and ratings on Long Island, NY.

The College has substantially upgraded its technology environment over the past few years. Students have access to more than 200 computers in classrooms and labs, providing software applications for desktop publishing, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and shared printing services. These computers also afford students the opportunity to interact with industry-leading applications used within their academic programs, including CATIA, SolidWorks, Nastran and Patran. The College’s recently created student portal provides online access to tools that enhance and support academic efforts. All of Vaughn's classrooms have updated instructional technologies, including projection, and Internet connectivity to classrooms and labs. Wireless access exists across campus, including within the residential facilities, and each student is provided a vaughn.edu e-mail address. Identification cards provide students with access to secured facilities, laundry payment, dining services, library access, vending and purchasing options, and more.

The College's library offers extensive general, technical, resource, and periodical material totaling more than 125,000 volumes. The real and virtual resources include books, periodicals, videos, and research databases. The video collection consists of subject videos to support the College's curriculum, general-interest videos, and movies. The library houses VHS tapes and DVDs and its research databases contain more than 8,000 full-text periodicals and newspapers. Ten personal computers are available for student use in the reference area.

Vaughn is also nearing the construction phase of a new library that will provide students and faculty with a one-stop location for research materials, academic support services, and technology support. Internships are an important part of a student's learning experience at Vaughn College, and they have led to job offers upon graduation. The department of career services and faculty chairs arrange for internships with top U.S. corporations. As a federally designated Hispanic-serving institution, the College participates with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) to place students in internships with various federal agencies year-round. Other active internships and cooperatives include the Boeing Company, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Express, Global Air Dispatch, HACU, JetBlue, Lockheed Martin, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), the National Broadcasting Company, the Northrop Grumman Corporation, Northwest Airlines, ORBIS, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Teterboro Airport.
