Nashville International Airport in Nashville, Tennessee is 1 hour, 15 minutes from campus. Airport shuttle is available as well as limousine, car rental and taxi services. There is also a Greyhound bus line in Bowling Green.
Driving Instructions to Campus
1. Take Exit 26 off of Interstate 65.
2. Turn toward Bowling Green onto Cemetery Road.
3. Continue straight for three miles. Cemetery Road becomes Fairview Avenue. Continue going straight across 31-W Bypass. You will pass a fire station on your left. After passing the fire station, turn left at the third traffic light onto College Street (this is a one-way street).
4. Stay on College Street through downtown Bowling Green and continue until you reach the top of the hill. College Street will dead-end at 15th street at a statue of Henry Hardin Cherry. Turn right onto 15th Street.
5. 15th Street will turn into Big Red Way. The Welcome Center in the Kentucky Building will be on your right.
*Please remember to place parking permit on the driver's side dash of your car.

Sustainability
WKU’s commitment to sustainability has grown stronger with the adoption of a resolution to include sustainability in the education curriculum, and the Board of Regents’ approval of the "Challenging the Spirit" Action Plan for 2012–2018, which includes responsible stewardship of natural resources and specifically enhancement of sustainability in campus operations and services. The Sustainability Coordinator works with students to conduct a biannual greenhouse gas emissions inventory for energy use and other elements of the campus carbon footprint. One hundred percent of buildings have undergone an energy-related retrofit in the past three years. Ninety percent of cleaning products used on campus are Green Seal-certified. Ninety percent of the campus grounds are maintained organically. At WKU, students are driving the university’s commitment to green towards 100 percent, with student organizations leading such projects as a bike lending library, student garden, and move-out “Lighten Your Load” donations to charities. In 2013 WKU earned Bicycle Friend Campus certification from the American League of Cyclists. Students can access real-time energy use for residence halls on-line and annually compete in the “Reduce Your Use” energy reduction campaign. Engineering students designed and installed a bio-fuel facility that converts cooking oil waste to biofuel used in the university’s farm equipment. Faculty, students, and staff collaborated to create an energy policy that guides purchasing, building operations, transportation, and personal energy use on campus. The WKU “conservation vacation,” during which all energy draws are shut down, has become a tradition for extended breaks and has saved more than 3.5 million kilowatt hours over winter breaks since 2008. Moreover, a solar thermal array was installed to heat the pool in the Health and Activities Center. In 2013 WKU earned LEED Silver on the Fine Arts Center Music Recital Hall, and has committed to incorporating green building attributes for all new construction.
