One of the premiere law schools in the Midwest, Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio provides individuals with "every resource [they] need to become a successful student and future attorney." To begin with, the CWRU School of Law does a fabulous job fostering a "collaborative atmosphere." Students also benefit from Case's "excellent writing program" and "emphasis on practical learning." As one student explains, "Case Western has a phenomenal experiential learning program. Few schools [offer] their students the opportunity to [earn] credits through internships and [the ability] to [leverage that experience] to move into the jurisdiction they wish to work in." Additionally, don't let Case's "relatively small [size]" fool you; a "wealth of opportunities" abounds here. In fact, many students view the size as an asset since it ensures that no one is merely "a face in the crowd." Further, a "smaller student body means there are fewer people vying for the available spots" within extracurricular activities like "law review and mock trial."

Of course, perhaps Case's "greatest strength is the high quality and accessibility of the professors." They frequently "go above and beyond…[to make sure] students understand the material." These budding legal scholars also love how their instructors "challenge you to expand your thought process and how you analyze materials." And they greatly appreciate how "supportive" Case professors can be. Another impressed student shares, "[They sat] with me as a first semester 1L to read through my practice essays [and have also] mentor[ed] me and provide[d] career advice." And looking beyond the classroom, students also note that the research librarians are "great." Indeed, they "provide a lot of information on how to approach legal research about specific topics [as well as] how to shift into a 'legal mind [set]' when engaging in research." A fellow classmate agrees stating, "They really helped me fall in love with the process of diving into a legal question and trying to figure out an answer."

Lastly, when it comes to employment, students have "great access [to] internships" as well as a good record for "job placement." Moreover, the law school "has a large and engaged alumni network in Cleveland and all over the world." And it does a great job of fostering "good connections to firms in town."

When it comes to socializing, we're told that "the Student Bar Association does an excellent job in creating opportunities for the students to interact with each other outside of the classroom." Additionally, students seem to love Case's location in the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland. A number of individuals assert that "the University Circle area is a great place to be a student, and there [are] so many great attractions nearby." One respondent eagerly elaborates, "I regularly walk over to the art museum to relax; similarly, the opportunity to enjoy free concerts with one of North America's finest orchestras is a perk that cannot be beat." And, as if that wasn't enough, "during the fall and early spring, the campus is really quite gorgeous, and there's a bevy of activities going on, many of which are free for students."
