From the School
Founded in 1978, Ross University School of Medicine offers an MD degree program administered by a faculty whose primary responsibility is teaching. The systems-based curriculum is designed to enable students to acquire and master basic sciences concepts and prepare to integrate knowledge of these concepts into clinical care. In January 2019, Ross opened its new Medical Sciences Campus in Bridgetown, Barbados. Clinical rotations are completed at affiliated US teaching hospitals. RUSM has an alumni network of over 14,700 MDs across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. 669 Current and former Ross graduates attained residencies in 2019 in 24 disciplines. RUSM is eligible to participate in the US Federal Direct Loan Program and offers scholarships for students who qualify. The School of Medicine has three class starts a year in September, January and May. Visit medical.rossu.edu for more information.

Admissions Requirements
Overall
From The School
Our curriculum is designed to prepare our graduates to practice in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico where most of our students originate and plan to return for practice. Our Medical Sciences curriculum is an organ systems-based curriculum that organizes the teaching of medicine by systems within the body, like the digestive or respiratory systems. This approach, which mirrors how medicine is actually practiced, gives you a big picture look at the physiological, anatomical, and biochemical processes of an organ system all at once.
Majors and Degrees Offered
Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Faculty
At Ross Med, we have an 15:1 student/faculty ratio. Small class size and the fact that our faculty's time is not split between teaching and research gives them the ability to focus their time and energy on one thing – you!
