Attention, aspiring lawyers! The Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) announced it will add new LSAT dates to the testing schedule. Starting in 2018, LSAC will offer the LSAT in January, March, and July, increasing the total number of LSAT test dates to seven per year.
More test dates means more options for you. Most law schools accept students on a rolling basis, so it’s in your best interest to submit a complete application—including your LSAT score—as early as possible. With two additional LSAT dates, you have more flexibility in choosing when to take and prep for the LSAT.
First, the new July 23 test date will be offered in North America only. Second, LSAC has been busy this year. In May 2017, LSAC announced it will no longer limit the number of times you can sit for the LSAT. Earlier in the month, it conducted a digital pilot to test administering the LSAT by tablet. At The Princeton Review, we are carefully monitoring these changes so we can give prospective law students the inside scoop.
