Stonehill awards credit for high scores on Advancement Placement, CLEP and upper level International Baccalaureate exams.
All high school candidates are encouraged to participate in a Group Information Session (GIS) conducted by an Admission counselor and current students. Following each GIS, a student-led campus tour completes the visit. Contact 508-565-1373 to arrange your campus visit.

Students typically take five courses each semester, and need 120 course credits to graduate with a Bachelor's degree.

Pre-professional programs are offered in dentistry, education, law, medicine and theology. Students interested in the field of education can receive early childhood, elementary, middle and secondary school teacher certification. More than 80 organized student groups representing academic societies, multicultural interests, music as well as performance, community service and shared interests enable the full-time student population of 2,500 to become involved.
Just 22 miles south of Boston and connected to the Boston subway system via a free campus shuttle service, many Stonehill students venture into the city to attend major sporting events and concerts, visit museums and shop or dine.

The student government association also has vans that students can reserve for trips to sporting events, concerts, skiing in Northern New England and other activities.
Campus Facilities & Equipment
A five-story, upper-class residence hall was opened in Fall 2010. This building, the tallest in Easton, houses over 250 students in suite-style living, complete with a kitchen and a common area. The residence hall is also home to a chapel on the 5th floor.
The Thomas and Mary Shields Science Center, opened in 2009, is an 89,000 square foot state-of-the-art science building. Identified as eco-friendly, it includes floor to ceiling windows, motion sensor lighting and a garden on the roof. This state-of-the-art science facility contains research labs with advanced technology and instrumentation for the biology, chemistry, physics, and psychology departments along with the neuroscience, biochemistry and environmental studies programs.
The MacPhaidin Library and Networked Information Center provides students with features such as wireless access, multimedia computers and electronic resources such as E-Journals, WorldCat for locating books worldwide as well as technology workshops focused on library research skills.
Stanger Hall is a 100% wireless building providing 4 multimedia classrooms, over 100 computers in 4 computer classrooms and labs for student use. In addition to software for Computer Science, Robotics and other specialized courses, the labs also include laser printers and scanners, as well as the Bloomberg Stock Trading Computer System. The Information Technology Service Desk, a central point of assistance for students, is located next door, in Duffy Hall, and is open over 90 hours per week.
The Joseph W. Martin Institute for Law and Society serves as a focal point for civic and public policy programming. It is home to the Departments of Political Science & International Studies, Sociology & Criminology and the Centers for Interdisciplinary Studies, Pre Law Advising, and Moore Center for Gender Equity. It also houses the Archives & Historical Collections Department with the papers of both Joseph W. Martin, the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Stonehill graduate and internationally renowned scholar Michael Novak.
Off-Campus Opportunities
Study Abroad: Stonehill is consistently ranked among the top 25 baccalaureate institutions in the nation for student participation in semester-long study abroad programs, according to the Institute of International Education’s Open Doors Survey. Nearly 40 percent of Stonehill students study abroad before graduation in dozens of countries, including Argentina, Australia, China, Denmark, England, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, New Zealand, Spain and South Africa.
Local Consortium: Stonehill belongs to a consortium that allows its students to take classes at eight area colleges. Stonehill is also a member of the Marine Studies Consortium in Boston and the SEA Semester program, an internationally recognized leader in undergraduate ocean education based out of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute on Cape Cod.
Internships: 80% of Stonehill students participate in either a domestic or international internship experience by graduation. Stonehill's internship program affords each student the opportunity to gain valuable work experience for academic credit while networking with professionals from a wide variety of corporate and nonprofit agencies. Students intern at organizations such as Grant Thornton UK, Serono Pharmaceutical, Reebok International, UBS, Marvel Comics, Children's Hospital Boston, NCIS, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Fidelity Investments, the Boston Globe and more.
Full-time internships are available in New York City, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Dublin, London, Paris, Madrid, and Geneva, Switzerland.
